That's why Weyerhaeuser's sales experts work with you to determine the appropriate paper to fit your needs from the nearly 30 grades of liner and six grades of medium we offer. We have a varied selection of weights, trim widths, recycled content levels, and specifications to meet both domestic and international requirements.
Weyerhaeuser produces the following containerboard grades:
- Linerboard (unbleached liner) in basis weights from 26# to 90# per thousand square feet (MSF)
- Corrugating medium from 23# to 40# per MSF
- Specialty grades in selected basis weights and markets
Linerboard
Weyerhaeuser produces unbleached liner in basis weights from 26# to 90# per MSF. Six of our mills have the latest technology in papermaking, enabling us to create some of the most uniform and consistent linerboard in the industry. And because we supply many of the raw materials to our mills, our customers are further assured of a quality product and timely delivery.
Corrugating Medium
Several Weyerhaeuser mills produce corrugating medium in basis weights from 23# to 40# per MSF, including two facilities dedicated solely to its production. Our medium sheets are some of the most consistent available, allowing for high-speed forming and bonding on the corrugator.
Specialty Grades
We also produce specialty grades of linerboard and corrugating medium, including:
- High-performance linerboard that offers greater fiber efficiency to meet product protection needs at a lower packaging weight
- White-top and mottled white linerboard that provides a clean appearance for graphics
- Unique linerboard grades to meet the needs of our international customers
- Wet-strength linerboard and corrugating medium
