Weyerhaeuser Forest Products International manages fast-growing plantations and provides high-quality forest products through Green Triangle Forest Products and Weyerhaeuser Australia Pty Limited.

Green Triangle Forest Products

Green Triangle employs more than 450 people at its plantation and sawmills in the states of Victoria and South Australia. Our history dates to 1928, and we were acquired in 1999 by the World Timberfund, a limited partnership between Weyerhaeuser and UBS Timber Advisors Investors. Today, Green Triangle Forest Products:

• Owns 20,000 hectares of Radiata pine, manages an additional 5,000 hectares, and operates a nursery that produces approximately two million seedlings a year
• Produces 330,000 cubic meters of sawlog and 227,000 cubic meters of other forest products each year
• Operates sawmills at Mt. Gambier and Dartmoor as well as the Pine Mouldings remanufacturing plant
  • Our Lakeside mill at Mt. Gambier produces machine-graded framing and appearance-grade wood products, as well as pine moulding feedstock, boards, and linings. The plant's sawlog throughput volume is 380,000 cubic meters per year.
  • Our Dartmoor sawmill produces framing, boards, linings, and treated sawn and moulded products with an annual throughput volume of 270,000 cubic meters.
  • Pine Mouldings takes lumber that's unsuitable for mainstream products, removes the knots and wane, and remanufactures the material to produce high-quality mouldings.

Weyerhaeuser Australia Pty Limited

Weyerhaeuser Australia operates facilities in the Hume region of New South Wales at Tumut and in Caboolture, north of Brisbane, Queensland.

• Tumut Region

  The Tumut operations include a sawmill that handles over 550,000 cubic meters of logs per year and a remanufacturing and treating facility at Gilmore. The sawmill processes Radiata pine sawlogs and has as its major focus the production of high-strength structural timber for the building industry. The Gilmore facility includes finger-jointing, kiln drying, moulding, and treatment plant operations. Combined, the Tumut and Gilmore facilities employ nearly 350 people.

• Caboolture

  Our Caboolture operations include a sawmill, plantation, and chip export business. The Caboolture sawmill processes around 320,000 cubic meters of pine logs per year, 90 percent of which is Elliottii pine.

  Annual output is approximately 120,000 cubic meters of timber products, predominantly structural timber sold into the booming Queensland housing market.

  The Caboolture chip export business processes about 220,000 cubic meters of pulp logs per year.

Pine Solutions Australia

Pine Solutions Australia (PSA) is the sales and marketing arm of Weyerhaeuser Australia. Pine Solutions sells and markets to reseller customers across Australia in all market segments of the timber industry. PSA works with a broad range of customers, including frame and truss manufacturers, timber merchants and resellers, and hardware stores. PSA also works hard to promote the benefits of pine products to end users, whether they are professionals such as builders, carpenters, and architects or do-it-yourselfers.

PSA sells and markets a full range of products produced by Green Triangle Forest Products and Weyerhaeuser sawmills, as well as third-party products marketed under the following brands:

• Silent Floor® System engineered wood products
• Ironwood® outdoor plantation pine
• Stylewood® premium dressed boards
• Pineworks® industrial products
