Weyerhaeuser has operated in Canada since 1965.

Our business starts with the forest. In Canada we primarily manage public land under long-term license, and we strive to be exemplary stewards of this public land. All the public land we manage is certified to the Canadian Standards Association forestry standard or the Sustainable Forestry Initiative® standard. All of these forestlands operate under environmental management systems registered to ISO 14001, an international standard.

We manage these public forestlands through a collaborative process that involves provincial governments, local communities and First Nations.
