Weyerhaeuser recognizes that fostering an inclusive environment where people with different perspectives can thrive is not only the right thing to do, it’s also good business. In fact, our Chairman of the Board Steven Rogel was among eight CEOs recognized for their work in leading diversity and featured in the book, CEOs Who Get It, published in 2006.

We take action to build an inclusive workforce which includes diversity business networks and mentoring, as well as rewarding diversity and inclusion achievements, and even supplier diversity programs. We regularly advertise and partner with various organizations to connect with communities to strengthen diversity recruitment outreach. Over the last two years alone, more than 30 internships and scholarships were awarded through the Weyerhaeuser Scholars Program in partnership with the United Negro College Fund.

And this only scratches the surface. We constantly look for ways to encourage, educate and inspire our leaders, employees and partners to value the potential in different points of view.
