Current Position
I work as an SAP Security Administrator and my job responsibilities primarily revolve around the Sarbanes & Oxley Act. I build SAP security roles, develop procedures to audit the security structure, and provide technical support. I came to work at Weyerhaeuser because I saw a wonderful opportunity to learn and gain experience with new security concepts, offer my six years of security experience as direction and mentoring to the team, while recognizing the chance to be apart of a growing and ingenious company.
What do you enjoy about coming to work each day at WY?
The steady challenge and opportunity to learn something new and innovative is what I enjoy most about coming to work each day. I have the freedom to research new technology and provide on-going feedback to my managers. Knowing Weyerhaeuser looks to you to help them continue to develop and succeed as a company is great. I have worked for other corporations/government agencies and this is honestly the best company and organization I have been apart of.
What inspires you at work?
What inspires me to work is that I will always have the opportunity to learn and grow in my job. My manager is well aware of my goals and my career desires. This method inspires me, especially as I see the results. Working with SAP security, I constantly keep in mind all security issues and the potential for security breaches. Seeing our company’s willingness to keep IT Security a priority is the exact reason why I still love what I do.
