Grants and Sponsorships in Canada
In Canada, Weyerhaeuser administers a corporate giving program to improve the quality of life in communities and regions where Weyerhaeuser has a major presence. This program is separate from the Weyerhaeuser Company Foundation, which administers the giving program in the United States.
In the 2006 to 2008 time period, Weyerhaeuser invested more than CAN$2.5 million in worthwhile projects and programs in communities across Canada. In addition to community giving, Weyerhaeuser funds research and education that help foster public understanding of the forest products industry.
