  1. In March 2007, Weyerhaeuser’s fine paper business and related assets were combined with Domtar to create a new fine paper company, Domtar Corporation. Operations included in the Domtar transaction are not part of 2007 data.
  2. Wastewater sent to publicly owned treatment works.
  3. Includes production and emissions of NORPAC, a joint-venture newsprint mill.
  4. In Mexico, hazardous waste is defined more broadly and includes a number of wastes that are not classified as hazardous in the United States or Canada.
  5. In August 2008, Weyerhaeuser sold its containerboard, packaging and recycling business to International Paper. Operations sold were included in the 2007 data.
