Our Communities

Strong local communities benefit everyone.

The Weyerhaeuser Company Foundation, through its employee advisory committees, designates a portion of its charitable giving to community organizations in Weyerhaeuser locations who are working to create better places to live, work and play. These advisory committees make funding recommendations to the foundation, ensuring their grant recommendations are aligned with the mission of the foundation. Funding priorities include a variety of education, health and human services, arts and culture, civic, environment or community improvement efforts.

To be considered for funding by our local advisory committees, a program must serve the community within a 50-mile radius of a major Weyerhaeuser facility. If you are interested in applying for a grant, please review our map of locations and where we give.

When Weyerhaeuser enters a new location, that community becomes eligible to receive foundation grants from a prorated annual budget established to support its priorities. When Weyerhaeuser leaves a community, the annual budget allocation is maintained in full during the year of closure.
